The Indian River Lagoon is a grouping of three lagoons: Mosquito Lagoon, Banana River, and the Indian River, on the Atlantic Coast of Florida; it is the most biodiverse lagoon ecosystem in the Northern hemisphere and is home to more than 3,000 species of plants and animals.
It is a haven for gamefishing with Red Drum (Redfish), Spotted Seatrout, Snook, and Tarpon as the main gamefish sought by anglers. There are dozens of other species to keep your lines tight all year.
Because of the protection offered by the nearby landmasses, this near shore fishery is not as susceptible to bad weather days as offshore or deep sea.
