Captain Jon has been a fishing fanatic since he was old enough to hold a fishing rod. At the age of 12 he was introduced to the fly rod. The rest is history. Captain Jon began his career as a fishing guide in 2006 while in college at Colorado State University. After graduation Jon realized that he was too passionate about his outdoor office to give it up. He now spends over 300 days hunting fish in fresh and saltwater.

From October to May, Captain Jon can be found putting clients on Tarpon, Snook, Redfish and Speckled Trout on fishing charters in the Indian River Lagoon and surrounding waters of Vero Beach, Florida. The Captain's summer months are spent in Yellowstone country, guiding the most famous trout streams in the mountain west: the rivers of Yellowstone National Park, the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River, and the Madison River.

An expert fly tyer and fly cast instructor, Captain Jon is a consummate professional in the fly fishing world. He also knows what it takes to catch fish in the salt. If light artificial lures, or even live bait is needed to get the job done, Captain Jon will do whatever necessary to ensure you have a memorable day on the water.
